Before you start
Add two or three records in your registrar's DNS settings (A or CNAME, plus TXT for verification), then click “Verify” in Fanann. Once they propagate, Fanann issues SSL automatically and your project goes live on your domain.
- A project published on Fanann (even on the free URL)
- Access to your registrar's dashboard
- “Owner” or “Admin” role on the Fanann project
Records to add
Choose the setup that fits you and copy each value in one click. Your project's real values are in “Deploy → Domains”.
If your domain is with any registrar, open its “DNS management” page and add the records below. Delete any old A record for the same name first.
Steps
Check off each step as you go — we save your progress.
Check connection
After adding the records, run the check: we go through the same steps Fanann runs when you click “Verify”. (Demo simulation)
- Looking up domain in DNS
- Checking A / CNAME record
- Verifying ownership (TXT)
- Issuing SSL certificate
- Activating domain on Fanann network
Troubleshooting
Hours later, still not working
Make sure records are exact with no spaces, and no old record exists for the same name. Some providers append the domain automatically, so enter just “www” instead of “www.mystore.sa”.
Browser shows a security (SSL) warning
The certificate is issued after verification and may take minutes. If you use a proxy, pause it until the certificate is issued, then turn it back on.
I have an old A record pointing to other hosting
Delete or edit the old record. Two records for the same name send visitors to Fanann sometimes and old hosting other times.
My email stopped after the change
Don't delete MX or email records like SPF. Connecting to Fanann only needs the records in this article.
I want the domain to work without www (or vice versa)
In “Deploy → Domains” pick the primary domain, and Fanann redirects the other version automatically.
