Mobile apps

Your mobile app starts with a chat, and ends up in the store

Describe the app you want and Fanann builds it in React Native: real screens, navigation, a database and sign-in. Preview it live in a phone frame in your browser, download the project whenever you like, and if you want it published our team can do it for you.

What you get

A real app, not a website in a frame

A React Native project that runs on iPhone and Android, with a full backend it shares with your web app.

1Building

Build it by chat, just like a web app

Type or say what you want: “a perfume store app with a cart, checkout and order tracking”. Fanann builds the screens, the tab bar and the data, and you ask for changes in a sentence.

  • Screens, navigation and a tab bar
  • A right-to-left Arabic interface
  • Plan mode available before the build
2Preview

A live preview in a phone frame, in your browser

Watch your app run inside a realistic phone while you build, and switch between iPhone and Android with a click. To hold it in your hand, copy the preview address and open it on your phone.

  • iPhone and Android frames
  • Updates with every change
  • Open it on your phone with the preview address
3Backend

One backend for web and mobile

The mobile app uses your app’s database and the same sign-in, and benefits from the connectors you added. An order placed on the phone shows up in the web admin.

  • A shared database
  • One customer account
  • Payments and connectors as they are
4Ownership

Download the full project: the code is yours

With one click you get the complete React Native project: screens, components, configuration and your app’s backend address, with step-by-step publishing instructions. Hand it to your developer, or build it yourself.

  • A standard React Native project
  • Publishing instructions included
  • No lock-in on the code
The path

From idea to the App Store

Five clear stops, and we tell you plainly which are in your hands and which are the store’s.

The publishing service

Rather not deal with the stores? Fanann’s team publishes for you

Preparing the store build, the listing, the screenshots and the submission to the App Store and Google Play: a lot of steps the first time around. Request publishing from inside your app and our team handles the steps and keeps you posted on the status.

  • Requested from your app’s publish dialog
  • Follow the request status step by step
  • The app is published under your name and account
  • Or publish yourself: instructions ship with the project

Plainly: what to know before you publish

Developer accounts are required

Publishing needs an Apple developer account and a Google Play account in your name or your company’s, and their fees are paid to them directly.

Review time belongs to the store

Apple and Google review every app before it goes live. The timing and the decision are theirs, and they may ask for changes first.

A preview is not the device

The browser preview shows your app working. The final on-device experience comes with the store build, so test that before you submit.

How it works

Three steps to an app on your phone

Start from “Mobile apps” in the Fanann dashboard.

1

Describe your app

Choose “Mobile app” and type or say your idea.

2

Preview and refine

Try it in the phone frame and ask for changes by chat.

3

Publish

Download the project, or ask Fanann’s team to publish it.

FAQ

Questions people ask

How does my app get onto the App Store and Google Play?
You have two routes: download the project and follow the included publishing instructions, or ask Fanann’s team to publish it for you from the publish dialog in your app. Either way you need Apple and Google developer accounts, and both stores review the app before it appears.
Do I own the mobile code?
Yes. You can download the complete React Native project whenever you like and continue with any developer.
Is it a real app or a website in a wrapper?
It is an app built in React Native with real mobile components and screen navigation, and the same project builds for iPhone and Android.
How long does store review take?
Apple and Google set the timing and it varies from app to app; they may ask for changes before approving. We cannot promise a date that is not ours to give.
Do I need a developer account?
Not to preview and try the app. To publish to the stores, yes: an Apple developer account and a Google Play account in your name or your company’s.
Which plans include mobile apps?
Mobile apps are part of the paid plans. Details of the publishing service are shown when you request it inside the app.
