Acceptable Use Policy

Version 1.0

This document is provided in Arabic and English. If the two versions differ, the English version prevails.

Fanann builds, tests and hosts real software from a description. This policy sets out what you may not do with it, so that the people who use the apps you build — and everyone else — stay safe. It is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everything you create, upload, publish or test with Fanann, including apps on your own domains.

Who we are

Fanann is an online service at fanann.com for building apps, websites, Windows programs and games with AI.

Contact: support@fanann.com (support, billing and refunds) · support@fanann.com (personal data) · support@fanann.com (legal notices).

Payments are handled by our payment processor, which acts as merchant of record: it sells plans and credits to you, charges your payment method, and handles billing, sales tax or VAT and invoices. We never receive your full card details.

Illegal and harmful apps#

You may not use Fanann to build, host or promote an app, website, program or game that:

  • sells or promotes goods or services that are illegal where you or your users are, such as drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods or stolen data;
  • offers gambling, betting or lotteries where they are prohibited, or without the licences the law requires;
  • promotes or glorifies terrorism, violent extremism or self-harm, or incites violence;
  • promotes hatred or discrimination against people because of religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, disability or similar characteristics;
  • harasses, threatens, bullies or exposes the private information of any person.

Fraud, phishing and deception#

  • Phishing pages, fake log-in screens or apps that collect passwords, card details or identity documents under false pretences.
  • Fake stores, investment or “get rich” schemes, fake charities and other scams.
  • Apps that impersonate a bank, a government body, a company or a person, or copy their name, logo or look in a way that could mislead.
  • Fake reviews, testimonials or endorsements, and false claims about products, people or health.
  • Hiding what an app really does from the people who use it, such as collecting data it does not disclose.

Malware and harmful software#

  • Building or distributing viruses, ransomware, spyware, keyloggers, cryptocurrency miners that run without consent, or any other malicious code — including inside Windows programs, games or downloads you publish.
  • Programs that change a computer’s settings, collect data or contact other systems without the user knowing and agreeing.
  • Tools designed to break into accounts, devices or networks, or to get around security, licensing or copy protection.

Testing sites: only with permission#

The QA engineer opens websites in a real browser, clicks, fills in forms and records what it finds. You may use it only on:

  • apps you built with Fanann; and
  • other sites that you own or that their owner has authorised you to test.

Before it tests a site that was not built in Fanann, Fanann asks you to prove control of it (for example with a DNS record, a file on the site or a meta tag). Do not try to get around that check, and do not use the QA engineer for load testing, scraping, brute-forcing log-ins, scanning for vulnerabilities on systems you are not allowed to test, or anything that could disrupt a site or its users. Tests that change data are off by default; turn them on only for test environments and test accounts you control.

Children and sexual content#

  • Any sexual content involving minors is prohibited. We terminate the account and report it to the relevant authorities.
  • Sexually explicit or pornographic content, and intimate images of any person shared without their consent.
  • Apps or games that target, exploit or deceive children, or collect children’s personal data without the consent the law requires.

Personal data in the apps you build#

When your app collects personal data — sign-ups, orders, bookings, health or payment information — you are responsible for it towards your users. You must:

  • tell your users what you collect and why, in a privacy notice of your own, and get consent where the law requires it;
  • collect only what your app needs, and not collect sensitive data (such as health, biometric or government-ID data) without a lawful basis;
  • not upload other people’s personal data to Fanann — for example in a spreadsheet you turn into an app — unless you are allowed to use it that way;
  • not use Fanann to track, profile or monitor people without their knowledge.

Spam and unwanted messages#

  • Sending bulk or automated e-mails, text or chat messages to people who have not agreed to receive them, or in breach of the messaging rules of your country.
  • Building apps whose main purpose is to collect contact details for spam or to resell them.

Abuse of the platform#

  • Probing, scanning or attacking Fanann, the apps of other customers or the systems we rely on; trying to reach data that is not yours.
  • Getting around credit metering, plan limits, rate limits, moderation or access controls, or exploiting a bug instead of reporting it.
  • Using hosting for file storage, mirrors, proxies, mining, or traffic that is not a real app.
  • Creating several accounts to obtain extra free credits, or sharing, selling or renting accounts.
  • Scraping the service or using it to build a competing product.

If you find a security issue, please report it as described on our security page instead of exploiting it.

Other people’s rights#

  • Uploading or publishing content you do not have the right to use: images, music, fonts, text, logos, designs or code owned by someone else.
  • Using another company’s trademark or brand in a way that suggests a connection that does not exist.
  • Using third-party services you connect to your app in breach of their own terms.

How we enforce this policy#

We use automated checks and human review, and we act on reports. If we reasonably believe this policy has been broken we may, depending on how serious it is: refuse a request, remove content, take a published app offline, stop a test run, limit features, suspend or terminate the account, and report illegal activity to the authorities. We keep relevant records where the law requires.

Where we can, we tell you what happened and why. If you think we made a mistake, reply to our message or write to support@fanann.com and we will review it.

Reporting abuse#

If you believe an app hosted on Fanann or something built with it breaks this policy — for example a phishing page or a fake store — write to support@fanann.com with:

  • the address of the app or page;
  • what is wrong, and any evidence such as screenshots; and
  • how we can contact you.

Put “URGENT” in the subject for anything that puts a child or anyone’s safety at risk. For copyright or trademark complaints, include the work or mark concerned and confirm that you own it or are authorised to act for its owner.
