Delete your account

Version 1.0

This document is provided in Arabic and English. If the two versions differ, the English version prevails.

You can delete your Fanann account yourself at any time, in a minute, from the app — or ask us to do it for you. This page explains how, what happens to your projects and published apps, and what we have to keep.

How to delete your account

  1. In the Fanann app

    1. Sign in at app.fanann.com.
    2. Open Settings → Account (or Account settings from your profile menu).
    3. At the bottom of the page, under Delete account, select Delete my account.
    4. Type your account e-mail to confirm and, if your account has a password, enter it. Then select Delete account permanently.

If you own a workspace that other people use, remove its members or delete that workspace first; the app tells you if this applies.

  2. By e-mail

    1. Write to support@fanann.com from the e-mail address on your account.
    2. Use the subject “Delete my account”.
    3. We may ask you to confirm the request. We then delete the account and reply within 30 days.

What is deleted#

Immediately

  • You are signed out on every device, and you can no longer sign in with your e-mail or with Google.
  • Your personal details are erased from your account: your name and e-mail address are replaced, and your password is removed.
  • Workspaces that only you belong to are deleted: their published apps are taken offline and their addresses, including your own domains, stop working; tasks still running are stopped; pending invitations are withdrawn.
  • The subscription of those workspaces is cancelled, so you are not charged again. It is not renewed at the end of the period already paid for.
  • You are removed from workspaces you shared with other people; their projects stay with them.

Within 30 days

  • Your remaining profile details — country, currency and settings — are erased and the account is anonymised.
  • The files of workspaces that only you belonged to (projects and their files, images and media, attachments, the final copy of each published app’s database, data apps, design briefs, product-owner documents, QA test runs and evidence, and Windows installers) are erased, along with their content.
  • Your support requests keep what was asked and answered, but your contact details are removed from them.

Deletion cannot be undone from the app. If you sign up again later, you start with a new, empty account.

What we keep, and for how long#

DataKept for
Billing and invoice recordsAs long as tax and accounting laws require (typically several years), linked only to the anonymised account. Our payment processor keeps its own records as merchant of record
Records of transactions and credit usageKept for accounting and fraud prevention, linked only to the anonymised account
Audit records of sensitive actionsFor as long as needed for security and to show what was done, including the deletion itself; linked only to the anonymised account
Support conversationsKept, without your contact details, so we can show how a request was handled; ask support@fanann.com if you want them deleted

See the Privacy Policy for every retention rule.

Before you delete#

  • Download what you want to keep. In each project you can download your app’s data; you can also download the project of a mobile app and the installers of your Windows programs.
  • Tell your app’s users. Deleting your account takes your published apps offline. If people rely on them, let them know first and export their data.
  • Paid plans. Your subscription is cancelled when you delete your account, so you do not need to cancel it first. Unused credits are lost, and deleting the account does not by itself give a right to a refund (see the Refund & Cancellation Policy).
  • Shared workspaces. If you own a workspace with other members, remove them or delete that workspace first.

Delete some data without deleting your account#

You can keep your account and delete single items at any time:

  • A project: delete it from its settings; a published app goes offline at once.
  • A workspace: delete it from the workspace settings (you need to keep at least one).
  • A QA target: deleting it ends the retention of its test evidence.
  • Sessions: sign out other devices from the sessions list in Settings → Account.
  • E-mails: use the unsubscribe link in any product e-mail.

For anything else, write to support@fanann.com and tell us what you want deleted.
