Want to sell online but it feels like a long road? Good news: launching a simple, working store doesn't take months. Here's a seven-day plan, one clear task per day, that fits around your day job. The goal isn't a perfect store — it's a real one that takes its first order, then improves step by step.
Day 1What you sell, and to whom
Before any design, write on one page: which products you'll start with, who your customer is, and why they'd buy from you.
- Start with a short list of your clearest products; add the rest after launch.
- Describe your customer in two lines: city, rough age, and what matters to them when buying.
- Set your delivery area: your city, the whole country, or the Gulf.
Day 2Prep products & photos
A clear product sells itself. Spend today on product data and photos — they take the longest if left to the last minute.
- Shoot in natural light on a plain background, from several angles.
- For each product, list: name, price, options like size and color, and stock.
- Make descriptions answer customer questions: fabric, sizes, care and delivery time.
Day 3Build the store in a sentence
Open Fanann and tell Fanann Agent what you want in your own dialect. The clearer you are, the closer the first version.
- Review the first version on mobile before desktop — most browsing today happens on phones.
- Edit by chatting: “Make product photos bigger” or “Make the buy button green”.
Day 4Enable payments & invoicing
Choose the payment methods your customers actually use. In Saudi Arabia, mada and Apple Pay are standard, and Tabby or Tamara installments suit pricier products.
- Prep your documents: gateways usually require a commercial registration or freelance permit, and a business bank account.
- Enable QR e-invoicing so invoices are issued automatically with every order.
- Set your store currency, and whether displayed prices include VAT.
Day 5Shipping & policies
Customers decide based on two questions: When will it arrive? What if it doesn't fit? Answer both clearly before launch.
- Connect a carrier like Aramex or SMSA, or set up your own local delivery.
- Set shipping fees and times per region, plus a free-shipping threshold if you have one.
- Publish your exchange & returns policy, privacy policy and contact details.
Day 6Test like a customer
Place an order yourself, ask two friends to do the same, and note where they stall or hesitate.
- Test the full purchase flow in staging: product page to cart to checkout.
- Confirm the invoice was issued, you got the order alert, and the customer got a confirmation.
- Open the store on an old phone and slow network, and lighten any heavy page.
Day 7Launch and spread the word
Publish the store in one click, connect your domain, then start with people close to you — your first customers and most honest critics.
- Deploy in the hosting region closest to your customers, and connect your domain with SSL.
- Announce on your social accounts and WhatsApp groups, with a simple offer for first customers.
- List your business on Google Maps, and title pages with words your customers search for.
After week one
Launch is a start, not an end. Watch what customers ask about and where they abandon carts, and improve one page a week. Need a new feature — a coupon, loyalty program or mobile app? Ask Fanann Agent, the same way you built the store.
