Low-poly

In Arabic: لو بولي

Game making

A 3D art style that builds models from a small number of flat polygon faces, so they look simple and stylish and run light.

Every 3D model is built from small polygons, mostly triangles. A realistic model may need hundreds of thousands of them; the low-poly style makes do with hundreds, so a tree looks like a pyramid on a cylinder and a mountain like sloping faces with crisp edges. The result is a deliberately simplified look with its own charm, not an unfinished drawing.

Fewer polygons mean the scene runs smoothly on a mid-range phone and inside a browser without a heavy download, which is why the style suits games shared by a link. Fanann 3D Game Design builds worlds in this light style: you describe the world, then move objects and change the time of day visually or by chat. It is not meant for realistic graphics or huge open worlds. Practical tip: pick three or four colors that go together and stick to them. In this style, color and lighting create the beauty, not detail.

ExampleA floating island with five pyramid trees, a wooden bridge and a lighthouse, all flat faces and calm colors, running smoothly on a phone.
